“They deserve to have a life free of violence—for them and their children.”
I was proud to produce a series of videos for VWTH, a women’s shelter that has been serving Greater Victoria for over 50 years. The organization provides both temporary and long-term housing for women escaping intimate partner violence. These videos were created for their fundraising Galas in 2014 and 2025, and included an overview of the organization along with powerful survivor stories. Two 30-second versions were also produced for broadcast on ChekTV.
To reflect the sensitivity of the subject matter, we used intimate slow-motion footage, anchored by the voices of two of VWTH’s longest-serving members, Makenna Reilly and Parm Kroad. Their stories and wisdom beautifully illustrated the vital role this organization plays. The videos were deeply moving and brought several audience members to tears
